ABSTRACT/RESUME:
The question of removing the traces of crimes committed by the Nazis at the end of World War II has been brought up several times since the end of the war. However, what characterizes this phenomenon in practically all areas of East and Southeast Europe is the lack of sources. In this sense, we are publishing this document, which will additionally help in a better reconstruction, but also in the review of previous conclusions. The text is divided into several segments. The first part explains the genesis of the entire process in Europe, which further spread to the Southeast. The second part reconstructs only the removal of corpses in occupied Serbia, while the third explains the issue of the development of the narrative about the number of those killed after the end of the war. The fourth part reviews the existing conclusions, giving a sort of evaluation of what has been known in science so far. The fifth and last part of the text is the fully published hearing of Harry Stegemann, which is the central part of this text.
